Terms and Conditions

Thank you so much for choosing us! All bookings are made with Peruvian Andean Treasures.

Please, read carefully our booking terms and conditions.

We, Peruvian Andean Treasures make all arrangements for all tours on the condition that it will not be liable for any sickness, injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned, either directly or indirectly, by reason of any defect in any transport, by weather, by any other cause, or through acts of default of a company or person engaged in conveying the passengers, or in carrying out arrangements for these activities.

By booking a trip with us you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and us) and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis.

We strongly recommend getting travel insurance that covers the risk of accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including rescue and air ambulance. We also recommend that relates to cancellations and lost luggage. Please forward a copy / policy number to our offices.

All prices are in US Dollars and are subject to change at any time of the year and without notice because of new Government regulations and changes. Prices are based on one person, in a double occupancy room, unless otherwise specified.

You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit (the amount varies depending of the tour/program chosen), for those programs/services that require a pre-payment such as: hotels, train services, Inca trail and others, we will require a 50% deposit to be made upon confirmation of the booking. The balance you can pay us once you arrive to CUSCO, so you will avoid any charges paying from your country; (the remainder balance must be paid in US dollars), we will not accept broken or glued bills. Banks in Peru do not accept deteriorated bills for security reasons. We recommend that you do not accept bills in this condition and you will avoid inconveniences when you go to change to local currency (Nuevo Sol).

Payment of the deposit can be made via any of the following options:

  • Bank transfer
  • Western Union

NOTE: The client will assume all transaction fees and is not included in the prices of our tours.

In order for us to confirm your travel arrangements you must provide all requested details with the balance of the trip price.

Necessary details vary by trip, the main information needed is:

  • Full name (as your passport shows)
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport number
  • Passport issue and expiry date
  • Any pre-existing medical conditions
  • Dietary restrictions
  • Size (eight & weight) for tours where we will provide you equipment (biking, rafting, horseback).

And, any additional information you consider it is important we have to know.

If you cancel some or all portions of your booking, cancellation fees will apply.

For cancellations of 56 days or more prior to departure, we will retain the deposit of 30% of the total booking cost; between 31 and 55 days prior to departure, we will retain the deposit of 50% of the total booking cost; and 30 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 100% paid.

You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees.  If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services.  If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made.

We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary.

If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or receive a full refund.  In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs.  We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.

To get a discount as student, you must send us a ‘JPEG’ scan of your valid ISIC card. If you cannot provide us with a scan of your ISIC card within 2 days after your booking we will charge you the standard adult price.

When you come to Peru, you MUST bring the ISIC card and take it with you for the tours as it will be checked several times by government officials.

If you forget your ISIC card or lose it then there is a risk that you may not be allowed as Student and then, you will have to pay the difference.

The worst would be if you book as student and you don´t bring the ISIC card; in this case you could be turned away at the start of the trek.

Peruvian government regulation indicates that children under 16 years pay the 50% of the general entrance fees to the tourist attractions. Therefore to get a discount as a child, you must send us a scan of your child’s passport (page containing photo and date of birth); if you cannot provide us with a scan of your child’s passport within 2 days after your booking we will charge you the standard adult price for your child.

You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all of the appropriate visas; (some countries are exonerated and don´t need VISA to enter to Peru). Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip.  We are not responsible if you are refused entry to a country because you lack the correct passport, visa or other travel documentation.

Anyone suffering from illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any medication and/or other treatment which may be required during the tour. Failure to make such disclosure will constitute a breach of these booking conditions and result in such persons being excluded from the tour in this case all money paid will be forfeited.

We strongly recommend the use of a travel/medical insurance plan. We do not provide or include an accident or travel insurance policy in our cost.

However, if a member of the group gets sick or is incapacitated, we take care of him or her by getting a qualified doctor or immediate medical attention; all costs are assumed by the individual client.

Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation. We also recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects.

You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and participation involves a degree of personal risk. You will be visiting places where the political, cultural and geographical attributes present dangers and physical challenges greater than those present in our daily lives. We use information from government foreign departments and reports from our own contacts in assessing whether the itinerary should operate. However it is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks attendant upon such travel.

If you have a complaint about your trip please inform us (to the office) or to the guide in order that we can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means, we will meet you at your hotel or at our office to get solve the matter.

You consent to us using images of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose.  You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.
