Overnight in Lima


Leisure morning.
At noon, the guide will meet you to start a full day guided tour of the Peru´s capital – Lima (known as the city of the kings).
The guide will take you into the Historic Center of Lima to visit the Main Square or “Plaza de Armas” where the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral and Town Hall are located. You will then proceed to visit San Francisco Church, a masterpiece of Colonial architecture preserving the best examples of Colonial religious art in America. Return to the hotel.
Overnight in Lima


You will be transferred to Lima´s airport for your flight to Cusco (1 ½ hours of flight).
At Cusco´s airport you will be contacted by the guide who will transfer you to the Sacred Valley of the Incas located lower than Cusco city, which will help you in the acclimatization.
Along the way you will stop to visit Awanacancha a llama project where you will see South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, also you have the chance to appreciate the traditional Inca weaving and dying techniques which have been kept by the local people for centuries.
Your journey continues to the small village of Pisac, and there you will walk through its lively typical market and have some free time to interact with the townsfolk and artisans and to shop for handicrafts and souvenirs.
Finally, transfer to the hotel and accommodation at the hotel.
Overnight in the Sacred Valley


After breakfast, the guide will meet you at the hotel for a nice exploring day.
You will be transferred to Moray, which are circled terraces that Incas took four enormous natural depressions in the landscape and sculpted them into several levels of agricultural terraces that served, hundreds of years ago, as an experimental agricultural station for the development of different strains of crops.
Between the bottom and top levels of Moray’s main depression, the scientist John Earls has recorded a full 15 degrees Celsius difference in temperature. So Incas adapted plants of the jungle or low climates to high altitude. At this place a deluxe picnic lunch will be served.
Continuing with the tour, you will visit Maras which is a “salt mines”, there are about 3000 small pools with an average area of 5 m² (53.8 ft²), constructed in a slope of the mountain. People fill up or “irrigate” the pools during the dry season every 3 days, with salty water emanating from a natural spring located on the top of the complex, so that when water evaporates the salt contained in it will slowly solidify. That process will be carried out approximately during one month.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight in the Sacred Valley


You will visit Ollantaytambo which is one of the most beautiful, and significant sites in the entire Cusco region. It is a very interesting, and typical pueblo with extensive, well preserved Inca ruins; crowned by the sacred archaeological site with its impressive temple of the sun.
At midday you will be transferred to Ollantaytambo train station to board the Vistadome train which will take you to Aguas calientes town; this scenic train ride is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Upon your arrival, reception and accommodation at the hotel.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes


Today, you have a full-day to explore Machu Picchu citadel – the new seven wonder of the world; the shuttle bus service will take you for 20 minutes from Aguas Calienets to Machu Picchu where you will have a 2- 3 hours fully guided tour of the mysterious ruins, visiting the most important sector of the city such as the temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the temple of the three windows, the mausoleum, the temple of the condor, etc.
Time for the lunch at Sanctuary lodge hotel.
You then return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Cusco (Poroy train station), arrival to Poroy and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Cusco


It is a half day tour; you decide to start in the morning or afternoon.
The guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a half day tour of Cusco. You will start visiting the main square surrounded by magnificent colonial buildings, the Cathedral, the Koricancha which was the most important temple of the Inca culture; it was dedicated to worship the sun.
Finally you will visit the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman and its impressive rocky constructions, followed by Kenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay.
Return to the hotel. Farewell dinner at one of the finest restaurants of the city.
Overnight in Cusco


Transfer from the hotel to Cusco´s airport for your flight to Juliaca, here the guide will meet you for the transfer to Puno; on the
On the route, you visit Sillustani (pre-Inca tombs, known as Chullpa which is a pre-Inca funerary stone tower originally constructed for a noble person or noble family). Sillustani is located on top of a small peninsula surrounded by the Umayo lagoon that gives the area an extraordinary contrast of colors and landscapes. You will hike to the top of the peninsula, where most of the ancient Chullpas are located.
Finally, accommodation at the hotel located at the border of Titicaca Lake, from the hotel room you will have amazing views of the lake and surroundings.
Overnight in Puno


Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and then transferred to the harbor. We start off our boat excursion of Lake Titicaca by visiting “The Uros Floating Islands” which is located at 30 minutes from Puno; Uros is a small community that has lived on these reed Islands for decades. They used the TOTORA (reeds) to build their floating island platforms and over it they build the houses completely with reeds; also this material was used to build their canoes.
After visiting this floating Island, you continue the tour towards Taquile Island; in Taquile you will appreciate numerous ancient agricultural terraces and archaeological sites.
The island is narrow, only about 1 km wide, and 6-7 km long; once you reach the island you will have to walk up along a narrow path, enjoying on the way impressive views of the Lake Titicaca and also see gorgeous little houses inhabited by locals. At the top of the island you will have free time to explore and appreciate the traditional pre-Inca and Inca textiles; the most characteristic garments is the “Chullo”, a knitted hat with an earflap, and “The Calendar Waistband”, depicting the annual cycles connected to ritual and agricultural activities.
Afterwards you will have the lunch at one local restaurant; finally we will descent to the harbor to take our boat back to Puno.
Overnight in Puno:


After breakfast and depending of your flight time to Lima, transfer to Juliaca´s airport.
